With this mysterious title, I'd like to explore how women here keep hormonal balance while on TRT or PEDs.
I'm mostly reading about PED use on Reddit, and it seems crucial to adapt the levels of all three main sex hormones, so the women usually also supplement estrogen and progesterone.
Progesterone is available in cream form, I used to react either badly to it or none at all, but at least it's there if one needs it. Do women here get estrogen prescribed (in my country, that's unlikely to happen), rely on aromatization, or obtain it in other ways? Or you just take the PED and are fine? Do you purposefully take the kind that aromatizes more? I'm fine so far, but still interested about the consensus.

That’s actually a really thoughtful question, and one that doesn’t get enough attention. Female hormone balance on PEDs or TRT is a completely different game compared to men, and it’s great that you’re digging deeper instead of just winging it.

You’re right that the balance between testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone is what really determines how a woman feels and performs long term. Too much androgenic drive without enough estrogen support often leads to classic issues like dry skin, joint discomfort, poor libido, mood swings, or even sleep disturbances. On the flip side, pushing aromatization too far can lead to bloating, irregular cycles, or emotional instability.

A lot of women do rely on natural aromatization if they’re running something like low-dose testosterone or mild compounds (for example, oxandrolone with low test base). But when that balance feels off) especially after prolonged use (some do introduce bioidentical estrogen or progesterone, either in transdermal or oral form. The cream form of progesterone is hit or miss, as you’ve noticed; absorption and response vary a lot between individuals.

If you’re feeling good and your markers are steady, that’s a great sign. Just make sure you’re getting regular bloodwork (E2, P4, SHBG, LH, FSH, and total/free T at least) so you can spot shifts early. Most women who manage this well long term do it by fine-tuning their dose, not by adding more compounds too quickly.

It would actually be interesting to hear how others here handle it… there isn’t one universal formula, but it’s definitely possible to stay hormonally balanced and perform at a high level if you stay aware and methodical.

Thank you for the detailed response!

I also follow female AAS forums on Reddit, but people there mostly use specialized clinics which I'm not aware of in my country, here doctors tend to neglect women's quality of life, and I would definitely never mention any Ped use to them.

I spent decades reading about hormones and checking my symptoms and lab results partly because of this and also because I like being aware of what's going on with my health, but there is no way to source HRT without convincing a doctor that lab results and symptoms matter, and I have bad experience with that. So let's hope for the best.

As woman it's important to keep the blood levels in range.
Tbh I don't know ANY WOMAN (doesn't matter if bodybuilding or not) who is taking estrogen .
Nowadays women do have too much estrogen so that they normally need an ai (but well, many don't do bloods at all, and wondering about health issues or weight gain).

As always , especially for a woman: do bloods regularly and reacf to them if it's needed.

If you're taking peds as woman and your estrogen is going down , you don't use estrogen to keep the blood levels stable. Tbh most women don't have any problems with their estrogen levels, also getting their period every single month (except their on a diet or doing so much peds that they aren't "female" anymore).
