is this the same reason why its not called „BAC Water“ anymore (now its water for injection) or is it just a different product now?

Previously, we used bacteriostatic water, but later we replaced it with sterile water for injection.
When peptides are used correctly, the main safety factor is strict sterility at every stage: during reconstitution, storage, and administration. This is what truly matters.
Bacteriostatic water is not a catch-all protection. It does not kill bacteria and does not make a solution permanently sterile. Its role is different — it inhibits bacterial growth if microorganisms accidentally enter the solution after reconstitution.
If, from the start:
- a sterile diluent is used,
- cleanliness and careful handling are maintained,
- contact with the external environment is minimized,
That’s why the key factor is not the choice of water itself, but proper handling and sterile technique. When peptides are used correctly, the risks are minimized.
Bacteriostatic water is mainly used for storing solutions where prevention of microbial growth is required. In the case of lyophilized peptides, the stabilizers and preservatives added to the powder form already provide protection, so there is no need to add additional stabilizers such as bacteriostatic water beforehand.
